Warrior Cobra Drive
Jun 15, 2015 - Jul 15, 2015
Camp Pendleton, CA to Camp LeJeune, NC – Richard Rutherford and his son are planning a cross country drive in his Shelby Cobra to raise money for the Semper Fi Fund and Special Operations Warrior Fund.
Their plan is to leave Camp Pendleton June 15th after a kick off at Cavallo Motor sports in Carlsbad, CA. He has multiple stops planned along the way and plans to end the 4th of July weekend in Camp LeJeune, NC.
The wheels haven’t even started spinning yet and they’ve already got a bunch of things planned!

A Message from Richard
“A while back I was fortunate to share my car experience with some young vets at Camp Pendleton, CA. It so reconnected myself and my family to the gratitude we have for those that serve and sacrifice every day for the great American life we have.”
“The idea for a coast to coast drive came from a conversation with my Boy Scout son looking for an Eagle project and myself finding a way to be of service.”
“We are not wealthy by any means, but we are offering our time and resources the best way we can to humbly salute those in the military who have served and sacrified on a level few of us will ever really know.”
“With the help of a couple great supporters like Meguair’s Car care products, a Crowne Plaza Hotel franchisee and a couple hundred car guys we’ve yet to meet in person, we’re going to do what we can do to support the families of veterans far less fortunate that us.”
“We hope you’ll follow us on twitter and facebook and support us along the way. Our goal is to arrive at Camp Lejeune, NC on July 4 with the biggest check we can to support Semper Fi Fund and Special Ops Warrior Fund.”
“We’re preparing for the mission in every way we can, but we need your help now to make sure we can do it right. Every penny of net proceeds will go directly to support these two outstanding organizations.”
“Thank you.”
