Wake Boarding/Wake Surf Camp

Injured veteran athletes of Team Semper Fi (TSF) and Team America’s Fund (TAF) are off to Lake Lanier, GA for Semper Fi Fund’s first Wakesurf and Wakeboarding Camp. Held in conjunction with Wake for Warriors, participants will ride the waves under expert tutelage for three days, improving skills and confidence in and out of the water.

Wake for Warriors makes it its mission to share their passion for wake and water sports in order to heal the emotional and psychological wounds of military veterans and families.

“Wakesurfing and boarding are very social sports that allow service members to be active and learn some new skills in a leisurely atmosphere,” said Sam Tickle, Associate Director, Team Semper Fi. “The beautiful scenery on Lake Lanier combined with the camaraderie from the other participants, will help these veterans enjoy some respite care and boost both their skill level and their confidence.”  Learn more about recovery through sport with Team Semper Fi
