To honor and support our nation’s veterans, UpCountry Brewing and Riverbend Malting, both from Asheville, NC, are teaming up to release “Proud Heritage Pale Ale.” This beer will be released over Memorial Day weekend, and through the end of June 100% of all proceeds from the sale of “Proud Heritage Pale Ale” will be donated to Semper Fi & America’s Fund.

The son of UpCountry Brewing’s owner is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps. When asked what they could do to honor him and other military service members, the immediate response was to help those who have been injured in the service of our country. In researching Semper Fi & America’s Fund, UpCountry discovered SF&AF is one of America’s highest rated charities, dedicated to providing urgently needed resources and support for combat wounded, critically ill and catastrophically injured members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. UpCountry Brewing and Riverbend Malting are proud and honored to donate 100% of the proceeds from each pint of Proud Heritage Pale Ale to such a worthy cause.
Brewed with Riverbend’s signature Heritage Malt, the Proud Heritage Pale Ale has biscuity flavors with notes of honey from the malt that is perfectly balanced with hints of citrus and tropical fruits from the addition of five varieties of hops. Coming in at 5.6% ABV and 40 IBU, the Proud Heritage Pale Ale is a perfect beer to enjoy while directly supporting our troops.
