Thi Linh Wernau Artist Reception – YOU. ARE. BEAUTIFUL.

Charlestown, MA – Artist Thi Linh Wernau has an ongoing series of photographs and film to honor and help wounded veterans. If you are in the Boston area, you’re invited to attend an art opening reception on October 15. The exhibition “YOU. ARE. BEAUTIFUL. – A Tribute to Warriors” will feature 35 photographs from a series intended to honor the sacrifice of our wounded veterans, empower them with a vehicle for voice through art and inspire and help other veterans in need.
A number of the veterans in this project will be in attendance at the reception, including Marine SSgt Ronnie Jimenez, a Team Semper Fi athlete and injured warrior, who has credited sport and hand-cycling as a key part of his healing journey. The image pictured here is of Ronnie and titled, “On the Wings of My Brothers.” Ronnie will be a guest speaker at this event, along with Col T. Shane Tomko, Commanding Officer of the USMC Wounded Warrior Regiment. The artist will donate a portion of her proceeds from art sales at this exhibition to the Semper Fi Fund.
