The Big Sur International Marathon

The Big Sur International Marathon is a point-to-point course run on scenic CA Highway 1 from Big Sur to Carmel the last Sunday each April. Towering redwoods, crashing waves, coastal mountains and verdant pastures are featured on this bucket list course. A spectacular, rewarding, mystical and unforgettable race that is rated one of the top 3 marathons in the US and best destination marathon.
The course is from Big Sur to Carmel on scenic Highway 1, the nation’s first nationally-designated Scenic Highway. Big Sur International Marathon is USATF certified and is an official Boston qualifier.
Earn your entry to the Big Sur Marathon by joining our Community Athlete Team and fundraising a minimum of $1,800.
