September 11th Ride to the Flags – Sponsored by The Gary Sinise Charitable Foundation

Oxnard, CA – It is The Gary Sinise Charitable Foundation’s desire to encompass everything that 9/11 should commemorate while paying proper tribute to those who lost their lives on this tragic day, and those fighting for our country since. Putting the ride in perspective with the occasion, our celebration of freedom will be presented at our staging area – Naval Base Ventura County – Pt. Mugu Naval Air Station. The staging area will serve as the bulk of our celebration for the event.

The riders will then partake on a 2-hour ride through the most beautiful scenery in Southern California. While most motorcycle rides start small and end large the RTTF will instead end in solemn respect at 2,977 full sized flags standing high atop 10-foot poles facing the Pacific Ocean – one for every innocent life taken on 9/11. Taking a knee in prayer, we’ll pay our respects silently before departing.

There will be no minimum charge to ride in the ride. We only ask that you give what you can. We trust that you will give graciously.

Every dime that you can give to this ride as a rider will be given straight to Snowball Express, Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, and The Stephen Siller FDNY Children’s Foundation via the Gary Sinise Charitable Foundation.

We will not provide ride t-shirts. Everything given to the riders will be donated items.

Every dollar that would be spent designing and purchasing a t-shirt could be one more dollar towards helping our men and women in uniform.

If you are looking for a ride that will give you free stuff, there are many of those out there. This isn’t it.

Event Schedule:

• Registration will begin at 9:00am at Laguna Vista Elementary
• Naval Base Ventura County – Pt. Mugu Gates will open at 9:30am
• Registration will CLOSE at Laguna Vista Elementary at 11:00am
• NBVC – Pt. Mugu Gates will close for entering motorcycles at 11:30am
• Directions to the Staging Area at NBVC – Pt. Mugu will be provided at the registration location.
• Opening remarks with Gary Sinise 12:00pm
• KSU at 1:15pm
