Mad March for 22
Mar 4, 2018
Brian Mullins is a Marine Corps veteran (1999-2003) and has been motivated to raise awareness about the struggles of his fellow Marines, Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen. Brian has personally struggled himself, but has chosen to take action. He will walk over 1300 miles from Miami to New York City, alone and only with only what he can carry on his back. Brian took a leave of absence from work after saving and planning for this event for four years. Brian’s fundraiser will benefit Semper Fi Fund, Mission 22, and Gary Sinise Foundation.
Brian will begin at South Pointe Park in Miami Beach and will walk north through Florida on A1A and US 1to Jacksonville. Then, US 17 north through north Florida, southeastern Georgia, South Carolina (a short detour off of 17 to head to ‘the place of my rebirth, Parris Island’), 17 through North Carolina with a stop in Jacksonville and Camp Lejeune where he was stationed during his enlistment. He will continue on 17 to Norfolk, VA, then switch to US 13 north through VA, Maryland, Delaware. In Laurel, Delaware to US 9 and enter New Jersey and continue up US 9 to Jersey City and then cross the Hudson into Manhattan ending at One World Trade Center and the 9/11 memorial. His goal to complete the trek is 60 days; no more than 80 days.
