Leon’s Triathlon is dedicated to the support and empowerment of the US military and our veterans, especially those injured veterans in need of the most help, and the event has served as the venue for the Military Triathlon National Championships in the past. There are paratriathlon categories of “ambulatory”, “non-ambulatory,” and “PC open.” Athletes can also elect to complete in their age group. Athletes who are classifiable are eligible to qualify for the USAT Paratriathlon National Championships (date, location TBD). This event offers sprint and Olympic distance courses, as well as a relay option for Para triathletes which is ideal for beginners who are not yet comfortable swimming or who lack the proper equipment to complete the race in its entirety.
