Dixie Challenge 2

This is the JMHP’s foundation riding clinic and the very best way to learn basic horsemanship and cow working skills under the guidance of top horsemanship trainers in Mississippi. This is the second year that the Mississippi Quarter Horse Association has sponsored the JMHP providing our riders top horses and instruction to ensure their success. Riders will spend three days learning horsemanship and cow working basics in the Canton, MS arena and then on the fourth day test their skills in friendly competition for trophies, buckles, and other prizes. In addition to top horses and instructors from across the state of Mississippi, this clinic includes a guided tour of the Vicksburg Battlefield, barn dance with live band, pig roast and skeet shoot on a local farm, a give-back opportunity at a local orphanage, and lots of fun and fellowship with Mississippians. This clinic is specifically designed for those that have never or have seldom ridden before, and the absolute best way to start riding. 

Open to: 16 Semper Fi Fund/America’s Fund members – no previous riding experience required.
