Community Athlete: Robert Kay at Vineman Triathlon

Sonoma, CA – 1stLt Robert Kay is serving our country in the Marine Corps and has been affected by the loss of two of his brothers in arms – Major Douglas Zembiec (KIA May 11th, 2007) and 1stLt Travis Manion (KIA April 29th, 2007). Robert will be running in honor of them at the Vineman Race on July 28.
As a way to give back to other service members who need assistance, Robert will be fundraising for the Semper Fi Fund. He shares, “This is my small way to give back to the injured heroes who have given so much for our freedom.”

About Vineman Triathlon:
2012 marks the 23rd Annual Full Vineman Triathlon, making it the oldest independent full distance triathlon held in the continental United States. The experience which Vineman athletes have will be unmatched, as they swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 miles through beautiful Sonoma County’s wine country. The field is limited to 1,100 participants.
