Community Athlete: Mac Alaniz at Race on the Base

Race on the Base, Los Alamitos Base, CA – Mac Alaniz is running in honor of those who serve and have served, like his brother and our other brothers…Mac is running for you! During the previous months he has raised funds during his "Running for a Cause" campaign in which he will continue as he participates in the Race on the Base in February and the Toco Loco Challenge in April. He plans to run with a mask and run to raise awareness. This is Mac's way to "Support through Sport" our injured and critically ill service members and their families.

When asked why he chooses to run for the Fund, he said, "I do this for the heroic men and valiant woman of our Armed Services…The burden of the weight and struggle of breathing motivates me and reminds me of the struggles of the road to healing that these warriors will endure and the burden of what these warriors endure as they stand fast on the front line."
