"Built" from Ebay Motors: Vote to Support the Semper Fi Fund

July 24, 2012

Huntington Beach, CA – Four local shops have a deadline and a budget to build a car in the new web series "Built" from Ebay Motors. All parts have to come from Ebay motors, and all finished cars will be auctioned on Ebay motors for the shop's selected charity. Shop number one is Mackey's Hot Rods in Huntington Beach, and they have selected the Semper Fi Fund!

Owner Brian Mackey and editor of Hot Rod magazine Thom Taylor are leading the team on building a '68 Chevy G20 Van. The van is an embodiment of the Huntington Beach surf-meets-hot rod culture. Mackey's Hot Rods chose the Semper Fi fund as its charity, and hence is implementing a military theme for the van. The shop wants to bring the van to Camp Pendleton to show it to the Marines, who helped inspire it!

Please view the series and Vote for Mackey's Hot Rods van on the web series "Built!"
