Brad's Walk

This is an ongoing event from August 1 – November 30, 2016.
From the time he was a kid, Brad Friang has been in love with the outdoors.
In 2008, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps and served two deployments overseas. On September 2nd, 2015 Brad was involved in a helicopter crash and was moved to Wounded Warrior Battalion- East in Camp Lejeune, NC to in his words, “be able to take a knee and heal up”.
While there, he started planning his trip of hiking the Appalachian Trail, a goal he had had since high school. He quickly realized this hike would also be a much needed trip for self-growth and recovery.
Brad will be doing a southbound hike of the Appalachian Trail to raise awareness and funds for the Semper Fi Fund. He also hopes to inspire Veterans to go out and explore the healing powers of the outdoors.
His goal is to raise $2,190.00 dollars, which equals the total mileage he will be covering from Maine to Georgia.
