Camp Pendleton is gearing up for an amazing week!  It’s almost time for the 2016 Marine Corps Trials.  The Wounded Warrior Trials are March 1-9th with the main events starting March 3rd.  All the events are located on Camp Pendleton.

The Marine Corps Trials are more than just a competition; it is a venue for helping Marines improve their athletic capabilities, build camaraderie with other wounded Marines, and to select the most qualified athletes for the All Marine Warrior Games Team. These athletes will participate in a variety of team and individual sports, first working on skills in camps, then in competition for medals and a spot on the All Marine Team.

Those  making the All Marine Team will attend the 2016 Warrior Games June 15-21st  at the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY.  The Warrior Games will feature 250 Athletes representing the Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, Army and U.S. Special Operations Command who will compete in eight sporting events:

*Archery

*Cycling

*Field

*Shooting (Air Rifle/Pistol)

*Sitting Volleyball

*Swimming

*Track

*Wheelchair Basketball

Schedules will be posted at  www.woundedwarriorregiment.org  and  www.facebook.com/wwr.usmc on March 1st.

All the Events are family friendly and free to the public.  Spectators are welcome.  Please come cheer on our Marine athletes!!  Also,  don’t forget to wear your SFF shirt.  We would love to show them our Semper Fi Fund spirit!

**From the Camp Pendleton Public Affairs Office:  All Non-military spectators need to bring a valid driver’s license and registration to enter the base.  All visitors must enter Camp Pendleton using the far right visitor lane at the gate.
