The 15th Annual Sgt Michael Heede Jr Memorial Poker Run will be held on July 13, 2024, at Kennard-Dale High School in Fawn Grove, PA. Join the community as they remember and honor Marine Sgt Michael Heede Jr. who was killed while serving in Afghanistan.
Michael, a veteran of the Iraq war, volunteered for deployment to Afghanistan and was assigned to the 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force. Michael was one of two Marines killed by an improvised explosive device (IED) on July 13, 2009. During his military career, he won the Combat Action Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, and a Navy Unit Commendation Medal, among other honors.
