Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is a form of Biofeedback. HRV is the variation in time between heartbeats. It is an indicator of brain health which is controlled by a part of your nervous system called the autonomic nervous system (ANS). In fight or flight mode your variation between heartbeats is low. By controlling your HRV through breathing and relaxation, you can create a higher variation and reduce stress and anxiety.
