Wounded Veteran Run

Folsom, CA – Wounded Veteran Run was created in 2011 by a local personal trainer as a way to promote physical fitness while simultaneously paying honor to her brother who was severely injured while serving in Afghanistan on 14 July 2010. While spending time with her brother at Walter Reed Hospital she came in contact with many other wounded veterans and wanted to find a way to help support all of our injured troops. An annual 10K, 5K, and 3K running/walking event on Memorial Day seemed like the perfect solution.

Wounded Veteran Run is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization inspired by the daily perseverance and dedication of our nation’s combat wounded service members. The goal is to raise awareness and donations for veteran supporting nonprofits and implement programs to support and thank veterans within our community.

The Semper Fi Fund is proud to be one of the charities benefiting from this event.
