Team Semper Fi Members Recover Through Sport, Learn to Surf and Stand-Up Paddleboard

WHAT: This weekend, 25 injured veterans of Team Semper Fi (TSF) will hit the beach for the Semper Fi Fund Surf and Paddleboard Camp, where they’ll hone their water skills and learn from the pros at Waves of Impact. Over the course of three days, these athletes will learn more than just how to catch a wave: they’ll take home lessons that will help them navigate their recoveries and establish life-long bonds with fellow teammates.

WHEN: Friday, March 18 – Sunday, March 20

WHERE: San Onofre Beach on Camp Pendleton (Click to view map)

WHY: Waves of Impact believes that water sports can help to reduce anxiety and stress, they also seek to spread this experience through free surf camps for those with special challenges, including children and injured service members. This is the first camp offered in conjunction with the Semper Fi Fund.
