Top horsemen from the Mississippi Quarter Horse Association will provide their finest horses and two days of instruction on basic horsemanship, western trail, cattle sorting, and tie-down roping. On the third day, riders will be placed into teams and put their horsemanship skills to use in friendly competition for plaque and buckle prizes. Come enjoy southern hospitality at its finest as local area horsemen are sponsoring a Friday night pig roast and a Saturday night fish fry and barn dance with live country music.

The Dixie Challenge is open to everyone wanting to learn basic horsemanship and cowboy skills—no previous riding experience required. For those who haven’t ridden with the Jinx McCain Horsemanship Program before, this clinic provides essential riding experience necessary to participate in the May Lone Star Ranch Cattle Roundup and Drive in Casper, Wyoming.
