This concert presents a collection of works inspired by great heroics in many senses of the word, from Leonard Bernstein to President Abraham Lincoln with a world premier work written by David Stern to highlight Lincoln’s speeches, and will feature a Lincoln reenactor, Fritz Klein, from the Lincoln Institute in Springfield, IL. Concert will end with Beethoven’s Heroic symphony and the celebration of the 243rd birthday of the United States Marine Corps. Symphony Maestro, Brian Dollinger, is a combat engineer veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
