Keith Friend was an Army Airborne Ranger with the 1/506th Recon unit in Vietnam. A recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star, he was a very quiet and humble man regarding his service. Keith’s strong connection with the combat wounded inspired him to plan a charity golf tournament that would aid and support our local Wounded Service Members. In Keith’s memory and keeping Keith’s vision and wishes alive, “The Keith Friend Memorial Foundation” was established to say, in a very special way, that we will never forget what our friends, neighbors, service members, and their families have given and sacrificed so we can live in this strong, free, and beautiful America.
