Community Athlete: LT Alexander Emmert's "Seven Summits for Heroes"

Papua New Guinea – Navy LT Alexander “Alec” Emmert will be climbing to the top of every continent for our wounded heroes!

As an active duty, Naval Officer LT Emmert has had numerous friends who have served and been wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is setting out on this quest to climb each of the seven summits on every continent to raise money for the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.

One down, six to go…..He finished Mt. Kilimanjaro in March 2011.

His next climb will be the Carstensz Pyramid in Papua New Guinea in November 2011.
