Community Athlete: Avery Pontell-Shaefer at Marine Corps Historic Hlaf Marathon

Fredericksburg, VA – After losing a friend just before last Christmas, Cpl Christopher Blanchard, Avery decided to participate in the Marine Corps Historic Half and the Marine Corps Marathon in his honor. She decided the best way to honor him would be to help his fellow borther and sisters in arms whom were injured by helping the Semper Fi Fund! She knows the Semper Fi Fund is stepping in to help with rehabiliation and recovery through Sport for our servicemembers.
