6th Annual Purple Heart Dash

Seattle, WA – On Sunday, November 1st at 0900, the Marines, Sailors, and Midshipmen of the University of Washington Naval Reserve Officer Corps (NROTC) will host the 6th Annual Purple Heart Dash (with Fire Team Challenge). The race consists of:

• 5K Race – Register as an individual to run on a certified 5K race course. 

• Fire Team Challenge – Not for the faint of heart, participants may form four member “fire teams” to run together during the race. One member of the group must be carried at all

times. A strong level of physical fitness is recommended for this event.

This annual 5k race is designed to raise awareness and support for wounded veterans and their families as they recover from service-associated injuries.  70% of the proceeds from the race will be donated to the Semper Fi Fund.
