4th Annual Helping Heroes Golf Tournament & Dinner

South Easton, MA — On June 4, 2012, join golfers for the 4th Annual Helping Heroes Golf Tournament & Dinner to benefit the Semper Fi Fund and the tournament is being hosted in honor of Lance Corporal Evan Reichenthal.

Sponsored by local businesses, it is a day of fun including golf, dinner, auctions, raffle prizes, and more.

Registration – 9:15AM

Golf Tournament – 10:45AM

Dinner, Auction, & Awards – 3:45PM

Fees: $140 per golfer – includes golf, golf cart, gift, boxed lunch, and awards dinner

$40 per guest for dinner only

About Lance Corporal Evan Reichenthal:

This year’s event is in honor of Lance Corporal Evan Reichenthal of Princeton, Massachusetts. On January 5, 2011 while serving with the 3rd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment in Marjah, Helmand Province, Afghanistan, LCpl Evan Reichenthal was severely wounded from an improvised explosive device while on foot patrol. He lost his right leg below the knee, suffered trauma to his left leg, and also suffered heavy damage to his right arm where he lost his elbow and has had his arm fused.

Evan is currently undergoing therapy at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. While he was an inpatient at the hospital, representatives of the Semper Fi Fund often visited with him and the Semper Fi Fund also ensured that Evan’s family was able to be with him. The Semper Fi Fund has continued to provide Evan with financial support to assist him during his recovery process.

Evan’s courage, patriotism and dedication to our country reflect the true meaning of heroism. LCpl Reichenthal is expected to be medically retired in May of this year.
