Thank you Ashley and everyone who attended the Putts for Purple Hearts event for your dedication to “Serving Those Who Preserve Our Freedom!”
Naperville, IL — Ashley Jones, the sister of Staff Sergeant Joshua Horton and her family will be hosting a golf tournament on October 21 to benefit the Semper Fi Fund.
SSgt Horton suffered multiple shrapnel wounds in a mortar attack on October 7, 2004 while serving south of Baghdad, Iraq with the 2nd Battalion, 24th Marines, 4th Marine Division. He has recovered from his injures and continues to serve his country as a police officer.
Ashley, an employee of Tamarack Golf course and her family are hosting the tournament to give back to all those who serve.
The tournament will include lunch, dinner and raffles. The format for this event is a four person scramble.
Don’t play golf? That’s OK you are welcome to come to the dinner and enjoy the buffet, raffle and silent auction!
Shotgun start is at 1:30 PM.
