3rd Annual Push-Ups for Patriots

Avon, Connecticut—Avon Old Farms School will be hosting the third annual Push-Ups for Patriots fundraiser on April 9 at 12:00 PM! The event will take place in the Tiernan Wrestling Room and features groups of faculty, students, and friends of the school doing push-ups in rotations for a period of 24 hours.

Faculty member and varsity wrestling coach John Bourgault ’80, a retired Marine Corps Major, spearheads the exciting annual event, and for the last two years has accomplished the astounding feat of completing over 14,400 push-ups in just 24 hours – 10 push-ups a minute for 24 hours straight. Groups of students (one group for each class year) and faculty will attempt to accomplish the same number, rotating throughout the 24-hour time period.

Last year, Avon raised over $12,000 in proceeds.
