Team Semper Fi Joins Keystone Adaptive Center to Educate and Advance Ski and Snowboard Skills
Who: Sixty service members and their families from the Semper Fi Fund’s Team Semper Fi, of all ability levels, will learn and elevate their ski and snowboard skills at Keystone Resort for the third year with Keystone Adaptive Center.

Keith Gabel: Paralympic snowboarder, two-time medalist, and adaptive coach
What: Semper Fi Fund’s will hit the slopes for a three-day clinic where service members will receive instruction from world-class coaches and volunteers from Keystone Adaptive Center, which provides alpine skiing and snowboarding lessons to people with disabilities and other special needs. Athletes will build more than just skill — they’ll also leave with camaraderie, confidence, and life-long bonds with fellow veterans and adaptive instructors.

Why: “Recovery Through Sport” has proven to be an ideal outlet for injured service members to hone both physical agility and mental focus, skills that are critical to navigating their recovery. Learning and practicing alongside fellow wounded service members, they can also trade stories, share strategies for coping with their injuries, and forge lasting friendships.
ABOUT THE SEMPER FI FUND:
The Semper Fi Fund provides urgently needed resources and lifetime support for combat-wounded, critically ill, and catastrophically injured members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.
