2nd Annual Bello Fillet Fest to Support Troops
Aug 1, 2010 - Aug 31, 2010
Erie, PA – In support of our troops, for the second year in a row Bello’s Market is teaming up with The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund to raise awareness and funds for injured Marines, Sailors and their families.
For one day only, on August 11, 2010, Bello’s Market on West 8th Street will be offering whole beef filets at 3.99/lb, while supplies last.
While normally Bello’s cuts and trims their filets for free, during this promotion they will be asking the community for one dollar per fillet as a donation to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund and match the donation dollar for dollar.
These funds go directly to the Injured Marines, Sailors and their families for such things as prosthetics, medical supplies and care needed after traumatic injuries. Last year Bello’s was able to donate over 3,500 to this fund.
The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund is very important and close to the hearts of the Bello Family. Co-owner Joe Bello’s son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Evelyn Bello are both Marines that have served their country in both Iraq and Afghanistan. They have witnessed first hand the need for community support to aid all injured marines, Sailors and their families.
As always, the Bello family looks forward to serving the Erie area by offering outstanding meats, fresh produce, groceries and great prices as well as supporting the troops at home and abroad. Together we can achieve our goal of “serving those who preserve our freedom.”
Donations to the Injured Marines Semper Fi Fund will also be accepted at Bel-Mart Foods, Bridal Elegance and Cuffs Formal Wear throughout the month of August.
