Community Athletes: Jon Black, Anthony Hernandez, Doug Martin, Ernie Yarborough and Jon Cochran

Aug 26, 2012

Louisville, Kentucky – Community athletes Jon Black, Anthony Hernandez, Doug Martin, Ernie Yarborough and Jon Cochran are representing the Semper Fi Fund because they want to give back to the men and women who provide our nation’s blanket of freedom that we enjoy every day. They are competing in Ironman Louisville on August 26th.

Since our service men and women offer the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, these community athletes have chosen to do the ultimate endurance race to raise money. The Ironman day will be limited to seventeen hours, but with six months of training leading up to it. These men feel as though this race pales in comparison to a lifetime of service and possible disability, so they are doing it as a means of thanking the injured Marines everywhere. Thanks to all of you for your dedication to our mission.

Please support their efforts by donating to their campaign page!

Read more about these athletes and their efforts in an article published in Lexington Life Magazine featuring the Palmetto Ironmen for South Carolina: the five-this man team, who have trained since February for the upcoming Ironman, and who plan to donate earnings to the Semper Fi Fund!
